I endorse Kara Endicott for IAAO Vice President
As a past president of the Northeast Regional Association of Assessing Officers (NRAAO) and decades as an IAAO member, I have always enjoyed meeting members of the IAAO Executive Board especially when they join us at our annual NRAAO spring conferences. One of our special 2025 guest in Newport this past spring was Kara Endicott. I am grateful that Kara shared her assessment talents and gave us several education sessions highlighted and then upstaging us as we presented a mock trail to a sold-out audience. Kara had all of us laughing in the isles. Her technical and professional assessment portfolio elevated her decades of experience. Kara showed us how we are to define values and just as important, how we are to defend our assessments. Kara refined her role as the mock trail evolved taking swipes at both the plaintiff and the defendant. She rattled the cages of both plaintiff and defendants’ attorneys and was held in contempt by the mock Trial Judge Greg Hutchinson who, as Kara aggressively said “…his wig was simply too small to fit his fat head”.
Kara is a leader with great skills seasoned in the assessment vocation of ours. Her sense of humor is one that needs to be shared by all. I deeply endorse Kara Endicott for the position as 2025 Vice Chair of the International Association of Assessing Officers. Let us enjoy the ride with quality dedication open and honest transparency and a great sense of humor. Vote for Kara.

My most memorable interaction with Kara was at my first IAAO conference in Salt Lake City. I was walking around alone when she invited me to join her and her friends. That simple gesture stuck with me. When people ask me about Kara, the first word that comes to mind is INCLUSION.
Yes, she has all the credentials and qualifications, but what I value most in a leadership role—especially one like Vice President of the IAAO—is how someone engages with others. Kara made me feel welcome, and because of that, I formed some incredible connections along the way.
